The rating process is exacting, and hotels do not know when they are being inspected.

It starts with an incognito inspection including up to 900 Forbes Travel Guide standards that are focused 70% on service and 30% on facilities.

Next, scores are generated from the inspector’s responses and sent to the Ratings team for validation.

Hotels are evaluated every year, so they must maintain the service and facility standards to keep their rating.
