Kip Abbott’s love of travel began with her first trip to the Austrian and Swiss Alps for spring break in college. The experience changed her life. She joined the historic Boston-based travel company Raymond & Whitcomb straight out of college, and she hasn’t looked back since. With over 40 years in the travel industry—and more than two decades at the helm of her own company, Manchester Travel Company—she has developed an exceptional network of travel professionals around the world. Kip has seen the industry from every angle, including countless trips as tour director and travel host and often travels herself to gain firsthand knowledge of the exciting destinations she brings to her clients. While she has amassed a wealth of information, she is excited to continue learning new things about new places and cultures every day. A Virtuoso Adventure Travel and Voyages Specialist, she was a Finalist for the Virtuoso Adventure community’s production. She specializes in leisure travel including ocean cruises worldwide, African safaris, adventure travel in the Galapagos, river cruises in Europe, as well as culture, history, and arts tours. “Creating vacations for clients is a memorable and enriching experience,” explains Kip. “Travel is a way to open doors to new worlds and new cultures, and I am passionate about helping clients experience the best this industry has to offer.”
