Costa Rica was home for half of Freya’s childhood. She grew up speaking both Spanish and English natively, and has also spent over 10 years studying Mandarin. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, and her master’s degree in international politics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Nanjing, China. She has lived 15 years of her life outside of the U.S. in a total of 8 countries and she loves each and every one of them.
No matter where life takes Freya, one of her favorite things is having the opportunity to show visiting friends and family around in the countries she loves so much. She knows the secret beaches in Costa Rica, the most lekker spots in the Netherlands (hint: they’re not in Amsterdam), and the night markets of Taipei like the back of her hand.
Freya has traveled extensively in Latin America, Asia, and Europe, and she specializes in extended stays (2+ weeks) in Costa Rica, Taiwan, and the Netherlands. Whether you want to take a sabbatical à la Hemingway, give your kids a massive academic advantage by incorporating language courses into your trip, get the local scoop on a vacation, or anything in between, she’s the advisor for you.
So much can be accomplished when you have someone to support you and you travel with intention. What language learners achieve only after years of traditional classroom study can be acquired in mere months in an immersive environment. People travel the world to experience authentic regional dishes, but why not take those culinary secrets home with you to show off at your next dinner party? You can make not just memories, but connections and friendships that endure even after you return home.
Big or small, Freya can’t wait to hear about your travel dreams. She invites you to contact her either here or through her website: www.travelculturellc.com
