Oceania Cruises Reduces Plastic Waste
We have all heard of the need to reduce plastic waste. Thankfully, many hotels, restaurants and even cities have pushed to eliminate millions of plastic straws from our environment.
In the coming weeks, Oceania Cruises will begin to eliminate plastic water bottles, a plan which they estimate will ultimately eliminate more than 3 Million plastic water bottles annually. They can accomplish this thanks to the new Vero Water service that will be installed on each of their ships.
Vero Water will be produced onboard and served in reusable, environmentally friendly glass bottles and carafes. The Vero Water introduction begins on Riviera in late March and they anticipate having it installed onboard all the ships for suites and staterooms, restaurants, and bars by mid-June. In the latter half of the year, they will begin to replace the bottled water for port and shoreside experiences with Vero Water!
